Who we are
Dr.coming began as a house-call service and has grown into clinics in Itami and Naha, the international clinics at Kyoto Station and Osaka Namba, a hotel doctor service, and the Yorisoi sick-child care center.
Our principle is hospitality that stays close to the patient. To give families peace of mind even at night and on holidays, the whole team trains in how we welcome and care for people.

After years in hospitals that took in large numbers of night-time emergencies, I saw patients waiting for hours and doctors working far too long, and founded Dr.coming to change that.
Under the theme "peace of mind for families, even at night and on holidays," our doctors are trained in hospitality as well as medicine.
Outpatient consultations cost less than a house call.

Standard Consultation Fee: ¥ 65,000
Includes the doctor's consultation, prescriptions, and any tests and procedures the doctor considers necessary.
In most cases everything is covered by the standard fee. If additional tests or procedures are needed, we explain the cost before proceeding.
If your insurer requires a medical certificate, we can issue one after the examination. Additional fee: ¥10,000. Certificates can also be issued after your visit on request by email or WhatsApp (credit card payment).
We provide an itemized English invoice for travel-insurance claims.
Cashless (direct) billing only for insurance and assistance companies that have a contract with us. All other guests pay at the clinic and claim from their insurer with our itemized English receipt; the clinic does not contact the guest's insurer.
We accept case referrals from contracted assistance companies by fax or email. The patient pays nothing at the front desk; we invoice your company after the visit. Most referrals are same-day.

Namba: an evening or holiday house call may be arranged depending on availability. Kyoto: house calls are currently suspended; the clinic is open every day 9:00–18:00.

Medical Director, Kyoto International Clinic
Dr. Hougaku is an internist whose clinical and research career has centered on hypertension and stroke, spanning Osaka University, the U.S. National Institutes of Health and the Nara Institute of Science and Technology, where he served as Professor and Director of the Health Care Center. He was appointed Medical Director of Dr.coming International Clinic Kyoto in 2026.
Medical Director, Osaka Namba International Clinic
Dr. Shimada is a cardiologist who has practised since 1995, with a career centred on acute cardiovascular care and interventional (catheter-based) cardiology. After residency training in Osaka he practised at Tsukazaki Memorial Hospital, spent three years as a research fellow at Stanford University Medical Center, and from 2007 to 2026 served at the Cardiovascular Center of Shiroyama Hospital, Osaka. He was appointed Medical Director of Dr.coming International Clinic Namba in 2026.
